ITALIANI DA ESPORTAZIONE – Roberto Brandoli, one of the best restorers in the world of classic Ferraris, standard-bearer of the great tradition of craftsman in the Motor Valley, is in the group of honorary judges invited to Palm Beach to examine the 140 models in the competition: the restorations of some of the most beautiful Ferraris from the 50s, 60s and 70s have been carried out, in fact, by the historical Brandoli body shop in Modena. “Our panel’s mission is to select a Ferrari which, from among those participating in the Competition, has unmistakably unique characteristics”, affirms Brandoli, Honorary Judge at Cavallino Classic for 6 years. “In the last edition we gave the Honorary Judges Award to a rare Ferrari 275 Gtb Battista Pininfarina prototype (series number 6437), which deserved the acclaim for its history and state of preservation”. The 97 judges are mainly American, with important names also coming from other European countries. “With me there’s Simone Schedoni, another illustrious Modenese name in the automobile world, invited with me to assess the preservation of classic Ferraris and the precision of the car’s individual components – continues Brandoli -. The Barnes family that organises the event and all the fellow judges have great respect for Italian professionals, and for me it’s a great honour to represent Modena and a culture of restoration which is an absolute point of reference in our territory.”
