The Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB was produced by Ferrari between 1959 and 1962. It was designed by Giotto Bizzarrini, Carlo Chiti and the young Mauro Forghieri, who would later complete the development of the 250 GTO.
The bodywork for the 250 SWB was built in Modena at the Scaglietti bodyshop to a Pininfarina design.
Originally conceived as a racing model, the car was also sold to private customers, who could order special racing features, like a light, all-aluminium body and a more powerful engine.
