The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider was unveiled in 1969 to meet the demands of the American market that the importer Luigi Chinetti had brought to the attention of the Ferrari design office.
There is not always a clear difference between the GTB/4 coupé and the GTS/4 spider. Many Spider version models, in fact, exited the Maranello factory with the 365 GTB/4 nameplate, like the closed version.
Only a few models of the original spider version have the 365 GTS/4 nameplate.
